Akin Brothers Floor Stores is a local flooring company that has proudly served the Oklahoma City metro for nearly 50 years.

Following an accomplished football playing career that took him from Oklahoma State to the San Diego Chargers, Harold Akin settled in Oklahoma City and opened Carpet World in 1971.

Today, the company is owned by Harold’s sons, Zac Akin and Scott Akin, and operates under the name Akin Bros. Floor Stores. The company consists of two brands, Akin Bros. Floor Store (previously known as Budget Floor Store) and Floor World, and three Oklahoma City metro locations.

Akin Bros. Floor Store is a retail warehouse located on Reno & Portland in Oklahoma City. This “show warehouse” offers shoppers, builders, and DIYers direct access to our full inventory of flooring options.

With locations in Edmond and Midwest City, Floor World is our family of neighborhood design centers. These boutique flooring stores help customers transform their spaces by selecting the perfect flooring products and styles for their needs.

The collective buying power of multiple locations allows us to offer discount prices on beautiful hardwoods, premium carpets, luxury vinyl, ceramic tile, laminate flooring, and area rugs.
